3 Simple Ways To Start Your Week Right

How you start your Monday will determine how the rest of your week goes. Whether it be disorganized and unrested or early rise and kickstart the day, you determine how you set the pace. So let's start the week right by these 3 simple steps to help ensure a smooth and successful week!

1. Have a good breakfast. I know, I know, "breakfast is the most important meal of the day", we have all heard it before. But truly, having breakfast really helps regulate your blood sugars and that is a huge help especially as you jump into the beginning of a new week. My go to is avocado toast with an over-easy egg topped with a little chili powder, salt and pepper. I can first hand attest that starting your day with a nutritious breakfast will really set the pace for the rest of the day. Not only am I giving myself energy to get through until lunch, but also I am so much more productive and can get twice the amount done than had I skipped the 10 minutes it takes to make and eat breakfast. TRUST ME, it's important.

2. Dress up. Okay so this one might be a little controversial, but please hear me out. Dress up because when you look good, you feel good. They say dress for success and I think it's true. The weeks I start my Monday with a cute and comfortable fit, are the weeks I'm most productive. I also want to add, just because you have no where to be doesn't mean you should skip getting ready. While you might not need to dress in your business best, definitely put on something more than your dingy loungewear (yes I am calling myself out, too). I'm a SAHM so I know the struggle of wanting to stay in your comfy sweats for morning drop off, but I challenge you to put on one step dressier than you feel like wearing. It will wake you up and kickstart your day.

3. Plan something to look forward to early in the week. We often dread Monday's simply because that means the weekend is so far away. Typically, we plan our fun activities towards the end of the week and on the weekends. By scheduling something to look forward to in the near future, such as Monday night or Tuesday morning, that will help give you a little more motivation and less of a drag. We live in a very fast-paced and instant gratification world so when all that you have to look forward to is at the other end of the week, we can often feel discouraged and bleh. So plan something exciting for Monday evening. It doesn't need to be grand, a simple self care bath and book sesh or a phone call with a long distance bestie, whatever it is, make it something to look forward to.

Monday's set the pace for the rest of the week. Eat a healthy breakfast, dress up and plan something to look forward to early in the week and you will be setting yourself up for the most success you've had in a while! I know once you implement these, even for how small they are, you will be thanking me. From CEO to SAHM, everyone needs a little push to start their week off right. Transform your week with these 3 simple steps. Starting your week doesn't have to be a drag. I bet you will improve your overall happiness as well.
